It's beginning to look alot like Christmas..............

.............this morning outside was freezing and inside was also freezing, that's what comes of living in an older porperty. But right know the cats and I are sitting next to a lovely hot electric fire my dad has leant us to warm things up nice and toasty.
So off I trotted to the Job centre bright and early to sign on, only you don't sign on these days, you ring a number and do an intial interview, then you get an appointment for 3 days time where you see an advisor for an hour............all sounds too much like hard work to me, but I'll need some income so I'll be a good girl. The last time I did this was back in 1988 when I first qualified and signed on for about an hour. I kid you not, I got offered a job in a nursing home. Those were the days. Now you have to apply wait to be shortlisted, have an interview, get your child protection paperwork checked and then maybe start after about a MONTH +.
Anyway after the brief time at the Job centre I wandered around Wells. There were loads of christmas tunes playing and most of the shop windows are decorated or in the process of being decorated. The cathedral was also sounding beautiful as the local primary school children were rehearsing for their carol service tonight. I also received Shimelle's first notes for JYC. I really must sit down and actually make the album. I've got the bits and pieces just not got round to sticking it together. So off to do something about it I think and hopefully share tomorrow.

  3. Well done for making the effort to sign on. It is a laborious process! Keep scanning those papers for jobs... are there any other agencies local to you?
At least you can use the extra time to start your JYC album. Why not promise yourself you'll post something about it here each day, so we can see how you're getting on? That will give you an incentive and if you miss a day, we won't mind - we'll just come back tomorrow!
    Good Luck!
