Alot like Love.......................

Ah yes the sweet smell of overpriced roses and gawdy cards can only mean one thing................it's Valentine's Day. The day of the year all singletons hate but are afraid to say it for fear of being decried. As one such singleton, I am glad to say that this year I am neither sad nor afraid of this day. In fact I am spending some time with a non-Valentine friend who is driving to see me after work, and we are going to be non-Valentiney together. Yes he is a boy but he's single too and well not interested in girls.
In honour of Valentine's Day then I give you my favourite love song ever by the band Aqualung, which is also taken form the movie Alot like Love hence the post title. It's great romantic movie.

Oh yes and if like me you are terrified of what your partner/potential partner thinks of your mental health problems please watch this rather amusing but important video too................. loves xxxxx

  2. Happy Valentines Day, Jo! It's a chance to tell friends how much you appreciate them, just as much as a b/f or g/f.
I like the video. It is true that people are shy of talking about mental health issues/problems. Often they don't know what to say, how to say it, or how to react if someone tells them about their own problems. People don't have a very good understanding of mental health anyway, which really doesn't help. It can be a scary subject, mainly because of that lack of understanding. It takes courage to speak up about it. Keep spreading the word, Jo!

  3. I'm a valentine's day hater myself. . . even though I'm in a loving, committed relationship.
Nice song today, although the band name really takes me back to the Aqualung album by Jethro Tull (one of my all time favorites from college) - may have to find it and crank it loudly.
