''Say it isn't so?'' I hear you cry, but it has recently come to my attention that several members of this household have been indoctrinated into said addiction and unfortunately no matter how hard I try, there is no rehab strong enough to reach their inner turmoil.
Constantly surrounded by books, magazines, stashes of pretty patterned paper, cardstock, embellishments; wool for knitting and crochet; fabrics for making all manner of objects from sewing machine covers to felt toys, the list is endless.
The pure horror of her plight is not being able to retreat from the objects she is forced to observe daily. I beg you all to assist me in reducing the suffering of this poor creature, and send good wishes for her swift recovery.
I present the said afflicted, Holly..........................
She says she's particularly loving Kirsty Allsopp at the moment, heehee.
Brought to you in association with the highly addictive Sian
I love it, as I arrived at the photo it was a complete surprise story perfectly told to hold my imagination, I thought perhaps your OH or may be a small child but Holly... no I didn't expect that. lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I can offer her much hope - she will have to learn to live with the addictions of the house I dare say!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry, I too, am of the opinion that there is no hope... :( Like all of our families, she will have to learn to live with it.
ReplyDeleteGreat little story Jo - made me laugh so hard. I'd offer Holly a bit of Respite at our house - except she wouldn't find it very restful, what with Another Cat to chase her and hiss... and the piles of Craft Stuff that she'd encounter at every turn, in our messy, scruffy, untidy house!
ReplyDeleteI hope she can find a non-crafty spot to hide in, should she feel the need; meanwhile, I hope she enjoys her Kirsty Book!
LOve your story and love how you told it! So clever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise photograph, I don't know who I was expecting... but great to see she enjoys a good book or two. Crafty story!
ReplyDeleteI agree with her about Kirsty. Great story
ReplyDeleteYour story made me giggle! I too thought it was little ones that you were talking about, until I scrolled down the page and saw the photo!
ReplyDeleteShe will definately have to learn to live with the addiction!!!!!
ReplyDelete..and I'm back! I was in the middle of leaving a comment this morning and my internet died. It has finally come back, so here I am to say - I love this!
ReplyDeletelol, poor little thing!!
ReplyDeleteoh bless her! My cat also likes to settle in the middle of any paper craft/magazines or even a scrappy page! Great story
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story with a surprise ending. Love it (and the cat here is currently firmly ensconced on my craft desk.)
ReplyDeleteRinda
Very clever and I love the look of your cat's eyes ~ quite menacing!

Cheers from France
Oh what a nicely told "tale of woe".
ReplyDeleteOh what a surprise seeing the picture. Poor Holly is going to have with live with it. Hopefully she won't decide she like the yarn.
ReplyDeleteA great story and a lovely picture
ReplyDeleteOh this made me laugh! Cats will get anywhere won't they? Mine has a particular penchant for the computer keyboard- it makes it awkward when you are trying to type blog entries I can assure you! Thanks for sharing :)
