Crocheted Baby blanket x

Hello everyone, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Just a short post today to tell you I have finished the crocheted baby blanket I showed you in this post last week.

It didn't take half as long as I thought and in the end I've got enough pretty wool to make a cushion cover too for myself.

So here is the completed blanket.....................

I really love all the differing coloured Granny squares and crocheting them all togehter to make a cohesive whole was a joy.

I ended up altering the pattern slightly as I wanted to put some colour into the borders. I added an extra two rows of double crochet (English) in yellow and pale orange and to finish the blanket I added a blue scalloped crochet edge to the blanket which I think gives it a really professional feel.

All I have to do now is sew on a ''Made with love'' ribbon and await the arrival of the newborn baby.
