The final challenge of the weekend was to be as a free as a bird, and immediately some photographs I had taken in Bristol city centre came to mind. I was crossing a pelican crossing and the insides of the barriers had been adorned with beautiful painting and graffiti art. This payout celebrates the peacock imagery in one of these art pieces.
Firstyl, I chose the pink background paper and the yellow patterned papers. Whilst I was rummaging trough mountains of stash I found the beautiful blue and brown paper by Hambly screenprints which has a feather design on it. Not something I would usually go for but perfect for the theme. I also found some beautiful gem stickers which I carefully cut apart to use.
I found some wood veneers which I painted with mists to match the layout and added in banner pieces and some circles cut from pieces of the feather paper. I found the yellow sticker with art, create, beauty etc which was perfect on the layout and the little blue camera and the gems to add onto the design. I also used a blue washi tape.
These colors are so fun and intense - I love them!

When I read your bird themed introduction, I thought you meant you'd seen an actual pelican crossing the road! But what you did see was even more splendid and unusual and those hambly items are indeed perfect - your psyche must have known something would come along and need them. Lovely bright start to the week!
