OH MY................................................!!!!!!!

I have been sent a comment from the Dotcom gift shop and they've linked to me as one of 50 great blog sites!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is the article. There are loads of g8 blogs to read and pretty gifts to purchase. I am doing the Snoopy dance again! Here's what they said about me!!!!!!! ''CurlyScrapbooker - A playground for all things crafty with a particular slant towards scrapbooking. Brilliant. ''
So here I am back in Starbucks enjoying coffee and pirrdge and some freebies. A free cool Latte and 2 free books, one about Maisy the mouse Im gonna send to lil E and another brief chapter from an adult book. I about to go and sign on for what I am hoping will soon become a distant memory. No news yet but still hopeful it'll come through soon.
So I have finished the pages of my minibook from Scrapamia and here it is..............

I found all my mementoes from the trip and a load of postcards of things I never got g8 pictures of. So I have used a mix of my own photos and postcards. The front cover has a part of a postcard of La Ramblas which was where Kate and I stayed on our trip. There is a photo of me having a first beer............

it was gorgeous. There are also pictures of Gaudi chimneys,

Parc Guell and alot of La Sagradia

Anyway, must dash as the Job centre awaits. I'll up;oad more pics another day and tell u all about the Alpacas I met yesterday.

Ne w digital layouts.

I have been doing a couple of online classes recently with Jessica Sprague here www.jessicasprague.com There are loads of classes to follow, some self-paced and some over a few weeks. The one I have just completed in Type and Writer which teachs loads of really helpful tips on typography and journalling for scrapping. Being digital I have not only gained a wealth of new skills for my scrapping but also more elements to use in my digital scrapping. The photo above is a page all about myself. It is a template so really simple to p0ut together and then the main pieces of extra work are the title and quote with the journalling around the little circles. I had to enlarge the specific quote words and learnt how to position them effectively. Also how to scrap in a circle using a template.

This layout was much more simple but no less effective. It taught me how to use brushes to effectively age the letters and numbers and how to move the words around at angles. I have really loved this course. If you get the chance to go over to Jessica's website you definately won't be disapointed.
Also a really nice comment was left on my blog by Humel and she has a fab site of recipes and scrapping. Check her out for g8 inspirations.

8pm challenge

Decided to do a digital LO this time as I was bored with the same paper. I loved my holiday in Barcelona last year and the trip to La Sagrida Familia was a highlight. I don't care that the cranes are visible in the photo as they are a part of the story of this not yet completed cathedral. It was truly inspirational to see gAUDI'S ORIGINAL CONCEPTES STILL being worked on lasy year and the changes which had happened in the 4 months since my friends had visited. Apparently the roof is almost completed now and services will begin next year in the cathedral. I will go back one day I hope to see no cranes on the outside.
