Project 365 week 4

Good morning everyone and welcome to another edition of Project 365. I'm a bit behind behind with the posts but thought I would try to catch up a little.

I am really enjoying this challenge and finding the photography aspect very easy to achieve. I take my camera everywhere and seem to find the right things to photograph. So here are the week 4 pictures:

The first one is Real, I chose this screen shot of a new idea from Time to Change because mental health is very real for me and I feel this little card will help others deal with me more easily:

My friend Alan came down to visit so became my Guest portrait........

This is another screen shot, didn't know what to do for Transparent but then I read this article about Nicole Scherzinger's dress problem.............

This is my amazing friend Lucy who Makes me smile..............

We are lucky in Wells to have two famous cats, this is Maisie the Bishop's Palace cat and she was Outside......

My mum helped with this one finding lots of Red ornaments around her house, this one I played with in Picassa to highlight the colour more

And finally this is a Blood pressure machine in my doctor's surgery and you have to put your arm Inside.............ps it hurts like mad

Ok be warned there are alot of photos over a 2 week daily post so here goes........


So for week 2 and 3 I actually followed the themes for each day set by 365 challenge here. I have found it relatively easy to keep up and have enjoyed finding the pictures I want to use.

Week 2.

Game.......................this one I borrowed from the Monopoly site as it was a big story about how certain Monopoly pieces would be replaced and buyers had to vote for one of these new ones, I'm voting cat........

Forgotten......................my friend forgot his magazine which a Bowie tribute quite appropriate for the week when he released his first music for a decade..............

Mini.....................well they are everywhere you know.................

In drawers................. sweeties in Tesco..................

Front door....................... this is the front door of one of my local fabric shops Sew Vintage and incidentally the front page for my Project Life album..................

Glitter Girl challenge and a catch-up

Hi everyone and welcome back ME. Life has had a rather busy sting of late so all my lovely blog plans went slightly out the window and into the snow. Yeah it SNOWED! Did you notice?

Anyhow, I am now back and managed to do this week's Glitter girl challenge. This week was all about colour and how to use patterned papers when you've got a photo with loads of colour. I actually had a photo with a big colour of grey and so used that as my starting point. It's a collage I did when I made lil sis's 40th birthday album. I got some small pictures on it which I thought I would use at a later date and it felt just right for this challenge.

So here is my layout......................

The picture is about 8 x 6 from Boots and I loved all the little images. Because the predominant colour was grey I felt I could go with quite bright patterned papers and went for a bright floral design and then added in some accents of pink, red, yellow, blue to highlight colours with in the collage pictures themselves.

Although you can't really tell, the thickers are black glittery letters which I felt was good for a birthday/celebration layout.

Also it Snowed and South Horrington looked like Narnia. Willow being the cat she is went out playing and I caught her for another layout.............

I am a little behind with Project Life because of life events but I sat down and watched some online TV the other day and made a load of card inserts of the right size ready to get it organised. One of the things I have decided to do is add in my Project 365 photographs each week as a collage which is really easy to produce using Picassa.

Here are my collages for weeks 1 and 2.................

I'll be back to explain the week 2 and week 3 choices probably tomorrow. Picassa is really great for screen captures too.

Project 365 - week 1

Hello and welcome to week 1 of the daily photography challenge known as Project 365. Initially these photographs are all my own choices as I didn't find the official site until Sunday afternoon. which is here. The blog gives you loads of hints and tips and each day there is a challenge to photograph a specific image. Now I have that I have my photography well organised and it has some gr8 ideas for different topics. There are also hints on improving your photography too. Well worth a look if you are taking part in this project this year. Anyway here are the seven photos I have taken so far....................

So for January 1st I chose the first page of my new calendar.................................

A New Year means new hair colour and I chose this Plum shade which I think looks great. Sadly I didn't get the handsome male model in the packet, oh well better luck next time.....................

On the 3rd I documented how far I had come with knitting a pair of socks, I think this is about 12 1/2 inches so far................  

On 4th January I captured a screen shot of my friend Sam's tweet. He's an under-21 player for Saints and has been injured for a looong time but at last he has had some gr8 news..........

The 5th January is another screen capture and is my pinterest board for Project Life

The 6th January was of course my Grandma's pearls and when I did find the Project 365 blog fitted perfectly with the day's choice of ''Still life''........

And finally for the 7th January I took a photograph of my cup of Earl Grey for ''Simplicity''. I like the plain dark of the cup and the simple logo for the coffee shop.............

So today I am taking photos of front doors for the challenge. Anyone else following along?
